PRTF - Psychiatric residential treatment facility

At Campagna Academy, our Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) is located on our beautiful 47-acre campus in The Hope Center; a state-of-the-art secure facility which is home for up to 48 young people ages 10 to 21. Our four living units serve male and female youth who are struggling with severe, emotional, behavioral and psychological problems.

Agencies can refer males or females to this program or referrals can be made directly by
families.

Medicaid accepted for PRTF if the following requirements are met: 
Individual displays persistent pattern of disruptive behavior that has resulted in: 
- Child has had disrupted placement in home or at school two or more times in the past 6 months or year
- History of abuse/neglect
- Child has ran away two or more times 
- History of admission to acute care/inpatient treatment which has not alleviated symptoms
- Must show a need for extended residential treatment due to continued risk to self/others

Documentation needed for admission:
- Physician History and Physical Exam
- Inpatient Treatment Plan
- Physician Progress Notes
- Nursing Notes for Inpatient Treatment
- Physician letter recommending child for residential placement

 PRTF Treatment Components:

- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) & Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT)
- Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (MD)

- Nursing Care (24/7)

- Medication Management

- Individual Therapy

- Family Therapy

- Group Therapy

- Group Recreation

- Education: On-Site School (Services Provided by Lake Central School District Fall 2012)
