Schererville, IN, Campagna Academy is excited to announce the promotion of LeKeesha Edwards to Chief Operation Officer (COO). As COO LeKeesha will have the primary responsibility of overseeing the Human Resources Department, Community Based Services, and Residential Services including: Private Secure Residential Program, Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (IDD) Residential Program, Emergency Shelter Care and Open Residential Services.

‘LeKeesha has been a key part of our team and we are thrilled to promote her to this position within our agency,” shared Elena Dwyre, CEO of Campagna Academy.

LeKeesha joined Campagna Academy in 2015 as our Foster Care Licensing Coordinator and quickly rose to several supervisory and management positions. During LeKeesha’s tenure at Campagna she has provided leadership support and oversight for Campagna’s Foster Care, Aftercare, Human Resources and Logistics Departments. She is passionate about programming that benefits at-risk families and has successfully served in the Human and Social Service Industry for nearly 30 years. Notable leadership roles include Executive Director for the Crisis Center, Inc. in Gary, IN, Assistant Executive Director & Human Resource Director for Metropolitan Oasis CDC, State Recruitment Manager for Indiana/Illinois MENTOR and most recently Campagna Director of Community Based Services. LeKeesha earned her BS from South Carolina State University and an MBA from DeVry University/Keller Graduate School of Management.

Today Campagna continues as a mission-centered, vision-inspired, “for-impact” organization that still believes the world can be changed one child at a time.
